The grand Colonial brick fixture was originally built as a funeral chapel by the Fairchild Family and has presided over Franklin Avenue for more than 70 years. Both the exterior and interior of the building were designed to feel more like a grand homestead rather than a traditional funeral chapel, making families feel comfortable and at ease. Fairchild Sons has enjoyed the privilege of being one of New York’s finest and Garden City’s only Funeral Chapel since 1938.
