Maria, here's to you--the force, prime mover, with Michael, for keeping family close--
including years of your hosting--friends/cousins/family dinners, Christmas holiday gatherings-- and certainly offering me entree--a 1989 newcomer/outlier through Geri-- into a new family of cousins!
We'll miss you, yet-- memories will sustain.Anthony Benfatti

- June 04, 2026RIP Mrs Ferragamo,
You were an amazing mom and I was blessed to be friends with all 3 of your wonderful children- You always made me feel like I was part of your family.
Michael was such a good friend to me growing up and I always appreciated you letting him invite me to spend time together with him wherever at your Nassau Country Club or the time on your boat and so many Islander hockey games, and later in life as he was ill we spoke every month for over 5 years . Then Lee in HS and I enjoyed many fun times together and enjoyed Proms together. And Michele always was so sweet and kind, and she hung out with Lee and I after college. You were also an awesome grandma to your 3 grandchildren and they will forever remember you for all the love, support and care you provided them with over the years. May you enjoy reuniting with all those who passed before you and continue to watch over your lovely family.John Del Bello - June 04, 2026John Del Bello

My family moved next door to the Ferragamos when I was seven years old, and my parents still live there today - more than 50 years later. We were always treated like family. What begin as neighbors quickly grew into a lifelong friendship between our families. I grew up in Maria's home, enjoying her warmth, kindness and incredible cooking. From her meringue cookies and English trifle to her unforgettable Sunday gravy, she always made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
So many of my childhood memories were made in their home. As the years passed and all of the children grew up and moved away, Maria and Michael and my parents remained close. It was comforting to see them look out for one another, share life's joys and challenges and continue the friendship that had begun so many years ago. Maria was truly one of a kind. We are heartbroken by this tremendous loss and will miss her deeply. Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael and the entire Ferragamo family. May you rest in peace. God Bless.Tracey Depp - June 01, 2026I will never forget all of the good times had with the Ferragamo’s going back to 1970.Bill Willis
